In 2004, Bjørg Nordli-Mathisen founded BJØRG JEWELLERY after being introduced to the craftsmanship and ancient traditions of Indian artisans. Raised in a small town in Norway, BJØRG has a strong appreciation and respect for nature which still inspires her work. Aiming to balance the raw and the refined, there is an organic feeling to each piece, reflecting her Nordic soul. Through focusing on the rare beauty of imperfections, her trademark has become her use of rough precious stones in combination with crafted metal textures. All BJØRG pieces are handmade with 100% natural materials obtained in accordance to environmental preservation.

The jewellery has been worn by artists such as David Bowie, Madonna, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Lykke Li and MØ.
