ASR JWLS
ASR JWLS is a fine jewellery house founded by Augusta Sofija Rudzikaite in 2013. She started experimenting with unconventional materials right after her studies in Japan, where she took the solitary time to realise what genuine creativity meant to her. Her aspiration has always been to find a link between concept and functionality. She studied jewellery craft on her own and at a high jewellery workshop in Italy. She spent half a decade experimenting at her lab – like studio until she assured her discovery of unique processing of specific rare metals. Augusta continuously travels the world in search of particular gems in order to make her jewellery distinguish from the mass. “ASR JWLS is not a label, I wish people perceive it as a movement” – she says. In her work she combines Japanese aesthetics together with contemporary design and classical quality of craft. Grateful for hazardous challenges she has put herself perpetually during her youth, she is glad to be able to realise her spontaneous nature and to appreciate unpredictability as virtue.
